JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 23, 2007) - Since March 21 the ETSU softball team have been accepting donations to help support the Bluffton University baseball team, and this Tuesday night the Bucs will be at Cardinal Park to continue their push in raising money for the "Bluffton Boys" when the Baseball Bucs host Tennessee at 7 p.m.
The Buccaneer softball team will have a table set up near the concession stand where they will be accepting donations beginning at 5:30 p.m. Those who make a contribution of at least $5 will receive a purple wristband that says "Bluffton Boys" and "Atlanta Bus Crash", while people who make a donation over $10 will get a Bluffton Baseball T-Shirt. The softball team will also be taking donations during its final home game this Friday when they host Mercer at 2 p.m. The Atlantic Sun gave ETSU permission to help raise money for the fund during the conference tournament in DeLand, Fla. (May 10-12); however, before the Bucs make the trip to Florida they will personally deliver all the donations, which have been raised up to that point, to the Bluffton baseball team in Lexington, Ky. before its game with Transylvania University on Friday, May 4.
