ETSU was limited to one run on six hits and committed two errors, while EKU scored its four runs on eight hits.

The Colonels picked up an early 1-0 lead in the first and scored their game-winning run in the bottom half of the third when EKU pushed two across the plate.
The Lady Buccaneers cut the lead to 3-1 when Haverman recorded her first hit of the season with a solo homer in the fourth. Haverman ended a streak of 17 at-bats without a hit on the season; however, that was all the offense ETSU was limited to. EKU turned around and scored its fourth run in the bottom half of the frame.
