MACON, Ga. (May 6, 2014) – Capping a record-breaking senior campaign, ETSU Softball's Katie Wolff (La Grange, Texas) has been named to the All-Atlantic Sun First Team.
MACON, Ga. (May 5, 2014) – For the second consecutive season, ETSU Softball's Jackie Baird (Ooltewah, Tenn.) has earned a spot on the Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 4, 2014) – The playing careers of three ETSU softball student-athletes came to an end Sunday as the Bucs were beaten by league-leading No. 23 USC Upstate; however, the foundation put in place by the outgoing Class of 2014 leaves the program with a bright future.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 3, 2014) – Senior Katie Wolff (La Grange, Texas) went a combined 4-for-6 in ETSU's two contests Saturday, raising her batting average to a team-best .400; however, ETSU was unable to overcome league-leading No. 23 USC Upstate as the Bucs suffered a pair of setbacks.

KENNESAW, Ga. (April 27, 2014) - Kennesaw State's Paige Matthews held ETSU to just two hits Sunday as the Buccaneers suffered a 4-1 road setback in the series' finale. ETSU's Casey Horner (Whitesburg, Tenn.) went 1-for-2 on the day, driving in the Bucs' lone run.
KENNESAW, Ga. (April 26, 2014) -- Senior Jackie Baird (Ooltewah, Tenn.) homered twice as the Bucs scored 10 runs in the final two innings of Saturday's double-header finale to complete an impressive come-from-behind victory at Kennesaw State.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 19, 2014) - A three-run, go-ahead home run in the fifth inning by senior Jackie Baird (Ooltewah, Tenn.) helped ETSU clinch a 4-3 conference victory over Jacksonville on Saturday. Saturday's scheduled double-header will instead be played Sunday, April 20.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 6, 2014) - Despite limiting Lipscomb to just five hits, the ETSU softball team was edged by the Bisons, 4-2, Sunday in the final game of a three-game Atlantic Sun series. Junior Nicole Fox (Peachtree City, Ga.) went 2-for-3 on the day, scoring twice and stealing a base.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 5, 2014) - ETSU's pitching staff was unable to contain Lipscomb's high-scoring offense Saturday, as the Bisons combined to score 19 runs in two games, earning a pair of conference wins. The Buccaneers were outhit on the day, 18-6.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 3, 2014) - Jackie Baird (Ooltewah, Tenn.) and Taylor Carter (Brazil, Ind.) combined to drive in five runs, helping ETSU to a 5-1 win over Presbyterian in Game Two of Thursday's double-header. With a sixth-inning homer, Baird became ETSU's all-time leader for home runs with 26.
RICHMOND, Ky. (April 1, 2014) - The ETSU softball team let a 3-0 lead slip away in the final inning, falling, 4-3, to Eastern Kentucky in Game Two of Tuesday's double-header. The Bucs suffered a 5-0 setback in Game One, with EKU ace Leanna Pittsenbarger tossing her second career no-hitter.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 29, 2014) – A three-run, go-ahead home run by freshman Taylor Carter (Brazil, Ind.) capped ETSU’s come-from-behind win over Northern Kentucky Saturday, March 29. The Buccaneers erased a five-run deficit, scoring six unanswered runs, to knock off the Norse.

(March 23, 2014) - ETSU was unable to overcome a solid pitching performance by Stetson ace Meridith Owen, who allowed just two hits Sunday, as the Buccaneers fell to the Hatters, 11-0. Stetson left fielder Courtney Brandt went 2-for-4 at the plate with a pair of home runs, driving in five RBI.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 27, 2013) – ETSU softball coach Brad Irwin has announced the additions of two high-school standouts to the Bucs’ 2015 recruiting class. Cassi Pickett (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Kelsey Smith (Tucson, Ariz.) have signed letters of intent to join the Bucs for the 2015 season.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 26, 2013) – With the fall athletic season completed, the ETSU softball program is preparing for the start of its regular season. Tuesday, Nov. 26, fourth-year head coach Brad Irwin released the team’s 2014 schedule.

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 11, 2013) – During a press conference Tuesday inside the D.P. Culp University Center, the East Tennessee State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics was officially welcomed back into the Southern Conference. In addition, it was announced that ETSU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Richard Sander has signed a one-year extension with the program.
HILTON HEAD, S.C. (May 30, 2013) – East Tennessee State University, Mercer University and the Virginia Military Institute have been extended invitations to join the Southern Conference beginning July 1, 2014, SoCon Commissioner John Iamarino announced from the league’s spring meetings Thursday.
