The Buccaneers (14-15, 4-8 ASun) beat Northern Kentucky three times, earning the program's first sweep of a conference opponent since the Atlantic Sun moved to three-game series last season.

During Game Two of the three-game series, senior catcher Jackie Baird (Ooltewah, Tenn.) made ETSU history, belting her 12th home run of the season, moving past Stephanie Gaynord (2006) as the Bucs' single-season home run leader. Baird and Gaynord (2004-07) stand tied atop the program's all-time home run list with 25 homers.

Fellow senior Katie Wolff (La Grange, Texas) batted .400 throughout the weekend, driving in five runs and scoring twice. Wolff also earned the win in the series finale, pitching two spotless innings of relief.

Wolff and junior Nicole Fox (Peachtree, City, Ga.) recorded a hit in each of the three games. Fox batted .500 during the series and swiped two bases, adding to her team-best total of 13 stolen bases.

The Bucs were beneficiaries of game-winning home runs in two of their three wins, with freshman Taylor Carter (Brazil, Ind.) hitting a three-run, go-ahead homer in the sixth inning of Game One. Fellow freshman Mykeah Johnson (Cohutta, Ga.) belted a walk-off, solo homer in the series finale, her first career homer.

Carter earned the win in Game Two, tossing her team-best ninth complete game of the season.

Junior Whitney Leon (Dandridge, Tenn.) did not receive a decision over the weekend, but tossed 10 and two-third innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out six batters.
