Stadium seating sold out for ETSU vs. Tennessee; standing room only available in outfield for $5.00/free for ETSU students
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 13, 2015) - The ETSU softball team will welcome No. 11 Tennessee to Betty Basler Field Tuesday, April 14 at 6:00 p.m., for a non-conference contest. Stadium seating for the game is sold out, however, standing room only viewing options will be available in the outfield for $5.00 for general public and free for ETSU students.
Tuesday's matchup will mark ETSU's second meeting with Tennessee this season. The two teams squared off in Knoxville, Tenn., March 24, with the Lady Volunteers (30-11) earning a 10-0 victory.

GETTING UP TO SPEED
Three ETSU players are batting better than .300 this season, including freshman Kelsey Smith (Tucson, Ariz.), who leads the Buccaneers (12-22) in home runs (11), runs batted in (35), and slugging percentage (.725).
Nicole Fox (Peachtree City, Ga.), who has stolen 13 bases this season, is leading the Bucs in batting average (.336), runs (24), and hits (41).
Fox and Jenine Duncan (Jonesborough, Tenn.) have accounted for 27 of ETSU's 35 steals. Duncan is pacing the Bucs on the base paths with 14 stolen bases.
Freshman catcher Cassi Pickett (Chattanooga, Tenn.) is batting .333 on the year with five homers and a team-best .410 on-base percentage.
In the pitcher's circle, sophomore Taylor Carter (Brazil, Ind.) has ammassed a 6-7 record in 17 appearances, including 13 starts. Meanwhile, senior righthander Whitney Leon (Dandridge, Tenn.) leads ETSU with 58 strikeouts this season.

The Lady Vols were last in action Saturday, April 12 when they earned an 8-5 win over No. 1 LSU.
Junior righthander Erin Gabriel, who tossed a perfect game against ETSU in March, leads Tennessee with 12 wins in the pither's circle. Fellow junior Rainey Gaffin ranks 15th in the SEC with a 1.98 ERA.
Sophomores Annie Aldrete and Taylor Koenig have each hit 12 home runs this season, ranking ninth in the SEC.
Aldrete, Koenig, and Meghan Gregg have each driven in more than 30 runs, led by Aldrete's mark of 39 RBI.
Eight Tennessee players are batting better than .300, including Gretchen Aucoin, who has posted a team-best .370 batting average.
