JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 7, 2015) – Over 40 East Tennessee State University student-athletes helped the Niswonger Children’s Hospital put on the Scarecrow Skedaddle event Saturday morning on the campus of ETSU. The event began with a 5K in front of Brooks Gym at 9 a.m. Following the 5K, everyone went inside the mini dome and participated in a variety of activities.

““For a lot of these kids, with a lot from this local area, we wanted the focus of the event to be healthy and active,” remarked Tara Sheets who is a former ETSU women’s tennis player and was the assistant director of the event. “It gives these kids the opportunity to learn, have fun and create goals which can include one day to be an ETSU athlete.”
