About the Bucs
ETSU is coming off a road trip at South Carolina where the Bucs took on the Gamecocks and N.C. State. The Blue & Gold dropped all four games but actually outhit their opponent in three of the four games played. In fact, ETSU outhit N.C. State in both competitions but was unable to overcome a pair of big hits by the Wolfpack. In game one, N.C. State totaled only one hit, but it was a three-run shot as the Wolfpack claimed the 4-0 win.

No April Fool
Senior outfielder Andrea Sarhatt has had a convincing month of April, batting .393 in nine games played. Sarhatt has recorded at least one hit in six of the nine games and has produced three multi-hit games this month. The Tennessee native has an on-base percentage of .433 in April with a slugging percentage of .500. Sarhatt has also been responsible for three RBIs and five runs scored. Sarhatt, batting 11-for-28 in April, has recorded one double and one triple this month, bringing her team-leading triple count to four for the season. The speedy outfielder also has swiped four bags and has been perfect in the outfield, recording 15 putouts and one assist with zero errors made.

Squaring off against the Spartans
UNCG entered the season as the heavy favorites to win the league and the Spartans have flexed their muscles early on. UNCG is 28-11 on the season and 9-0 in league action. Most recently, the Spartans completed a three-game sweep over Chattanooga. UNCG ranks second in the NCAA for home runs hit with 79, trailing only perennial powerhouse Oklahoma (100). The Spartans have four players with double digit long balls, led by Jordan Gontram with 12 homers and 28 RBIs. Blayke Batten is one homer shy of joining the double-digit long ball club. Maycin Brown leads the team in hits with 46 hits to go along with a .387 batting average. Morgan Scott is the top pitcher for the Spartans with a 17-7 overall record and a 2.72 ERA in 159.2 innings of work.
