2003 Season: Despite hitting one less home run than the year previous, Lane’s five homers tied her with Tiffany McVay for the team lead, while she put together a breakthrough sophomore season in the process … hit .301 and started in all 54 games at third base for the Bucs … set single-season records in RBIs (33) and total bases (80), while accumulating the second highest slugging percentage (.462) in school history … in addition, her 52 hits were second on the team … four times last season had more than three RBIs in a game and had four three-hit games … was a perfect 3-3 in stolen bases … defensively, Lane led the team with 148 assists, including a record eight assists in a game versus UNC Wilmington on March 22, 2003 ... 2002 Season: Lane showed great power potential last season, hitting six home runs, good enough to tie for second on the team … was one of four players to appear in all 57 games at third base, starting 56 … led the team with 29 RBIs and three triples … ranked third on the Bucs with 59 total bases and a .421 slugging percentage … walked 11 times … was a perfect 2-2 in stolen base attempts ...
