JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- With the win Saturday against UNC Greensboro, the East Tennessee State volleyball team will be seeded second in this weekend's Southern Conference Volleyball Tournament from Fleming Gym in Greensboro, N.C. The Bucs will face seventh-seeded Chattanooga in the first round of the tournament at 4:30 Friday afternoon.
The seeding is ETSU's highest since 1992 when Kelly Andrews led the Bucs to a 6-1 record inside the Southern Conference and also gained the second seed in the tournament.
The other matches on day one of the Southern Conference Tournament are as follows: #4 Georgia Southern plays #5 Furman at 10a.m. Friday morning, followed by #1 College of Charleston and #8 Wofford at 1 p.m. Following the ETSU-Chattanooga match, #3 Western Carolina will play #6 Davidson at 7:30 p.m. The Championship match will take place on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m.
