CHARLESTON, S.C. - Amber Ciskowski, a senior outside hitter who hails from Phoenix, AZ, poured in 12 kills, five digs, two service aces and an assist to lead the Buccaneers (18-3, 13-3 SoCon) to a Southern Conference win Saturday night in McAlister Field House.
Freshman middle hitter Natalie Atzinger of Louisville, KY contributed nine kills, two service aces, two digs and an assist as ETSU won by scores of 30-25, 30-14 and 30-28.
The Buccaneers got plenty of assists as setters Carey Cavanaugh and Jessica Miller recorded 19 and 14 assists, respectively.
The Citadel (7-20, 0-16 SoCon) was led by Nicole Mantu, a senior outside hitter from Corona, CA. Mantu had 12 kills and no errors in 19 total attacks for a school-record attack percentage of .632. She also tied for the team lead with four digs and had a service ace.
Freshman outside hitter Tara Stephenson of Marietta, GA had a strong match as well for the Bulldogs with 10 kills, two block assists, a solo block and a dig.
The Bucaneers stay in Charleston to play the College of Charleston at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4.
