JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Mar. 19, 2007) - ETSU head volleyball coach Lindsey Devine and members of East Tennessee State University's Lady Bucs volleyball team were honored recently for their dedication and service to Communities in Schools Johnson City (CISJC).

The Lady Bucs volleyball team has volunteered as mentors/tutors for CISJC for the past four years. During their community service with CISJC, ETSU student athletes have volunteered at least one hour per week to mentor elementary and high school students in the Johnson City school system and have made a difference in many young children's lives.

Communities in Schools Johnson City is a not-for-profit agency that helps children stay in school and prepare for life. CISJC helps students focus on learning by identifying specific needs of children and connecting them with resources from the community such as a one-on-one relationship with a caring adult, school supplies and vision exams and eyeglasses for students who meet eligibility requirements.
