MACON, Ga. (Nov. 13, 2006) - Senior Nani Emerson (Tracy, Calif.) parlayed another career performance into the final Atlantic Sun Player of the Week award of 2006.  It is her second such honor this season, having been previously selected on October 9.

Emerson dished out 77 assists against Liberty last week, leading the Lady Bucs to the five-game victory and extending their school-record winning streak to 16 consecutive matches.  On the season, the biology major ranks second in the league in assists (1412) and assists per game (13.32).

The award is the Lady Bucs' fourth this season, as senior Jennifer Sartor (Toronto, Ontario) and junior Kaena Apana (Waianae, Hawaii) were each selected earlier in the year.  The trio helped the Lady Bucs to the program's first undefeated conference season in 15 years, and ETSU will be the top seed in the conference tournament held in Nashville later this week.

The 10-member league headquartered in Macon, Ga., includes Belmont, Campbell, ETSU, Gardner-Webb, Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, Lipscomb, Mercer, North Florida and Stetson, with Florida Gulf Coast and USC Upstate to compete in 2007.
