MACON, Ga. (Sept. 24, 2007) - The ETSU volleyball team tore through its conference schedule a year ago, running up a perfect 9-0 mark en route to the first regular season conference crown in school history.  The Bucs opened up their conference slate this past week, and continued their dominance against league competition, thanks in large part to consecutive double-doubles from sophomore Amanda Youell (Middleburg, Fla.).  On Monday, the conference office honored the setter with the first Player of the Week award of her career.

Youell notched the first of three double-doubles on the week in non-conference action, tallying 62 assists and 17 digs in the Lady Bucs' 3-2 midweek victory over UNC Asheville.  The Middleburg, Fla. native turned in another stellar performance in the Bucs' conference opener Friday night, totaling 52 assists and 12 digs in a five-game victory over Jacksonville.  Her 39 assists and 14 digs against North Florida Saturday afternoon helped cap a perfect 3-0 week for the Lady Bucs and ran their conference winning streak to 11 matches, and their home winning streak to 13 matches.
