Devine guides USA to silver in Costa Rica

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (July 8, 2014) – ETSU volleyball head coach Lindsey Devine added to her medal count last month as she helped guide the U.S. Girls’ Youth National Team to a silver medal at the NORCECA Women’s U-18 Continental Championship, which was held in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Devine, who now has one gold and two silver medals during her stints with USA Volleyball, saw USA medal for the ninth consecutive time of the biennial age-division NORCECA championship and secure a spot in the 2015 FIVB Women’s U18 World Championship.

In pool play, the U.S. swept Honduras (25-8, 25-9, 25-8) and Mexico (25-20, 25-17, 25-19), while also taking down Puerto Rico in straight sets in the semifinals (25-17, 25-21, 25-17). The U.S. fell to the Dominican Republic in the gold medal match, 25-14, 25-21, 20-25, 25-20.
