JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 19, 2015) – ETSU volleyball head coach Lindsey Devine and her staff added three more players to the Buccaneers’ 2015 recruiting class on Friday. Allison Humes (Somonauk, Ill.), a right side hitter, setter Hailey Aguilar (Oswego, Ill.) and outside hitter Peyton Redmond (Liberty Hill, Texas) will join the Buccaneer family this fall.

“We have signed three players whose work ethic and talent will play a huge role in our success in the years ahead,” said Devine. “Our strong veteran nucleus will teach and push them to be better players each day they step into the gym.”

Allison Humes – 6-0 – Right Side – Somonauk, Ill. (Waubonsee Community College)

  • Compiled 531 career kills, 627 assists, 150 aces, and 94 blocks, while also being a pegged two-time unanimous all-conference selection at Somonauk High School
  • Graduated as the top kills leader, ranked second in aces, third in assists, fourth in blocks and sixth in digs for the Bobcats
  • Four-year letterwinner in volleyball and basketball at Somonauk High School

  • Posted 2.42 kills and 1.19 digs per set at Waubonsee Community College
  • Four-year all-academic performer and graduated 17th in her high school class

Coach Devine on Humes…

“Allison brings another dimension to our front line. Not only is Allison physical, but she has great range and plays with such intensity. Allison gives her team everything she has when stepping out on the court.”

Hailey Aguilar – 5-5 – Libero/DS – Oswego, Ill. (Oswego East High School)

  • Four-year letterwinner at Oswego East High School in Oswego, Ill.
  • Played varsity as a sophomore and was a two-time all-conference and all-area selection

  • Named to the Wisconsin Dells Championship All-Tournament Team

Coach Devine on Aguilar…

“Hailey is a fighter and will do whatever it takes to keep balls from landing on her side of the court. Playing for a great club like Sports Performance, Hailey fully understands and embraces a work ethic and communication level that I preach and value here at ETSU. She makes defense look fun.”

Peyton Redmond – 6-0 – Outside Hitter – Liberty Hill, Texas (Liberty Hill High School)

  • Carries a winning pedigree to Johnson City as she led Liberty Hill High School to three straight district championships, including a perfect 10-0 district record in 2014

  • Named Most Valuable Player for the Panthers as a senior, while landing all-district and academic all-district accolades all four years
  • Two-time District 8-4A MVP and was tabbed AAU Girls’ Junior National Champions All-American
  • Her mother played volleyball at Concordia Lutheran College, while Redmond’s father was a basketball player at Ranger Junior College and Concordia Lutheran College … Her sister played basketball at Southern Arkansas University before transferring to Concordia University to play volleyball

Coach Devine on Redmond…

“Peyton is a six rotation player who has a selection of shots, which makes her a crafty terminator. She brings toughness to her backcourt presence. Peyton is such a great teammate. She’ll be that player to push the team to accept the challenge of our expectations.”

Humes, Aguilar and Redmond join Alyssa Kvarta (Crown Point, Ind.), AJ Lux (Shelbyville, Ind.), Mariah McPartland (Boone, Iowa) and Braedyn Tutton (Courtice, Ontario, Candada) in ETSU’s 2015 signing class.
