Why did you choose to major in Physical therapy and what do you want to do after you graduate?
"I chose the major of physical therapy because I have always loved helping people. I got injured and I had to go to physical therapy. I loved what they were able to do for me and how you can see the joy in someone’s face when as they begin to progress. After I graduate, I hope to work with athletes and help them to recover after injuries."
Describe the feeling when you tied the program record for kills last season.
"When I tied the program record in kills against Chattanooga, I was ecstatic. At first, I didn’t even know what was going on, but I heard I broke the record, I was very proud that I was able to not only help my team out but to achieve something so amazing. It really opened my eyes and boosted my confidence for the rest of the season."
What is your favorite part of Johnson City?
"My favorite part of ETSU has to be the scenery. I come from a place where there are no mountains and where there is a lot of city life. I was really amazing for me to come to Johnson City and get more of an outdoors feel while still being able to feel a little bit of the city life as well."
Describe what it means to be a part of the ‘ETSU Family’?
"It means so much to be a part of the ETSU family. ETSU has really been a home away from home for me. They have welcomed me with open arms and make sure that I have everything that I need. At ETSU, family is very important and just knowing that you are not alone in this whole experience really means so much to me."
What was it like coming to Johnson City from Illinois?
"Coming from Illinois to Johnson City was a little bit of a culture shock for me. Living in a big city where there are tall buildings and not a lot of site seeing was very different and of course the country accents. However, I love trying new things and coming to ETSU was nice for me to experience something different than what I was used to."
