SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Nov. 14, 2022) – The Southern Conference announced its 2022 volleyball championship information this weekend, as top-seeded and regular season champion ETSU will play its first-round match on Friday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. in Greenville, S.C.
The nine-team tournament will be hosted inside Timmons Arena on the campus of Furman University and will run from Nov. 18-20.
The No. 1 seeded Bucs will find out its first-round opponent tonight as No. 8 Furman will face No. 9 UNCG inside Alley Gymnasium in Greenville at 7 p.m. The winner of that play-in match will advance to the tournament to face ETSU in the first round.
With a first-round win, ETSU would face the winner of No. 4 Chattanooga and No. 5 Wofford on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 5 p.m.
The championship final is set for Sunday Nov. 20 at 4 p.m. Possible tournament finalist on the other side of the bracket include No. 2 Samford, No. 3 Western Carolina, No. 6 Mercer and defending champion No. 7 The Citadel.
