2022 (Graduate): Played in 28 matches with one start, toggling between defensive specialist and libero ... Played in 93 sets to rank fourth on the team in sets played ... Also was a trusty receptionist with a .930 reception percentage on 440 attempts — the second-most targets behind Brianna Cantrell ... Fall 2021 (Senior): Started at libero in all 28 matches, appearing in all 99 sets in the season ... Recorded 427 digs on 4.31 digs/set with 16 aces and her second career kill ... Posted double-digit digs in 26 of the 28 matches, including the first 16 matches ... Recorded four different 20+ dig performances, two of which came back-to-back ... In both of those, Roberts recorded a season-high 23 digs, averaging nearly six digs per set ... Notched her second career kill against UNC-Asheville after a free ball hit in the middle of three different Bulldogs (Sept. 17) ... Nearly added a double-double after posting a season-high nine assists in the four-set win over Western Carolina (Oct. 22) ... ETSU went 3-1 when Roberts recorded 20+ digs.

2020 Season

Played in three sets in the fall 2020 in what was a COVID-shortened four-match season…Recorded five digs at Georgia Tech in two sets played (Oct. 8)…In nine reception attempts, did not record an error…Played in a set at Miami (Oct. 16).

2019 Season 

Roberts continued to develop in a strong sophomore season that saw her become the starting libero throughout the second half of the season…played in all 29 matches and saw action in 103 of the team’s 105 sets on the year…finished second on the team with 284 digs and was third on the squad with 19 service aces, including 17 in ACC play…recorded double-digit digs in 13 different matches, including a career-high 30 digs in the NCAA Tournament against UCF, which ranks as the third-highest total in an NCAA Tournament match in FSU history…tallied eight digs on August 31 as the Seminoles swept No. 3 Minnesota in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge…had four assists, seven digs and a service ace in a win against FAU on September 6…recorded the first kill of her career on September 27 at Duke as a long-distance free ball fell between multiple Blue Devil players, as the Nole would win in four sets…posted three service aces and added 10 digs in a home win over Virginia on October 4…registered 18 digs against No. 4 Pitt on October 6…helped the Seminoles to a four-set win over Louisville on November 10 with 18 digs and three service aces…posted 19 digs and three assists on the road at No. 2 Pitt on November 22…finished the regular season with 17 digs, four assists and a service ace at Miami on November 27.

2018 Season

Roberts saw an outstanding first season with the Seminoles as the only consistent true freshman in the lineup … Capped off her freshman campaign with 174 digs and 11 service aces over 98 sets … She earned double-digit digs on seven occasions, with a season high of 20 (against Notre Dame, 11/11) … As one of the most consistent servers, she earned 11 aces with only five errors in the season with a high of two aces (at Notre Dame, 11/2) … In her collegiate debut against Wisconsin (8/25), she played in three sets and saw two digs, served twice and received six serves … Against Colorado State (9/1), she earned her first career ace and saw picked up six digs … Saw her first double-digit dig outing with 11 at Boston College (10/12) and set a season high with 4 assists … Went on two earn 10 digs in each of the next two matches at Syracuse (10/14) and against Georgia Tech (10/19) … Had a career day at Notre Dame (11/2), picking up 2 aces with no errors and 13 digs … topped her career high the following weekend against the Fighting Irish (11/11), earning 20 digs … Saw eight digs in her first NCAA Tournament match against Florida (11/29).

High School/Club

Coming off a stellar high school career and four consecutive Class 1A State titles, Taylor Roberts came to Tallahassee from Sneads, Fla. Roberts was a crucial part of a historic run at Sneads High School, where they are currently tied for the third longest championship run in FHSAA history.  Roberts’ senior class never lost a set to a 1A team, and only saw 22 losses in four years. She finished her career with 1,126 digs, a .266 hit percentage, and 348 aces paired with a 22.3 ace percentage. Roberts picked up a number of individual awards as well, as she was named Player of the Match 14 times in her four years at Sneads. Prior to high school, Roberts competed in the 2013 USA High Performance Championship as a member of Team Florida.

As a sophomore, she was named to the 2015 USA Volleyball A-I National Team. She was named to the AVCA Phenom list in 2016, alongside FSU classmate Morgan Chacon. Roberts also received an Under Armour All-American honorable mention in her final season. Roberts comes from a long bloodline of volleyball players, as her mother, Sheila Roberts, led Sneads High School to five state championships as head coach, and will now coach for Florida High while maintaining her position as the co-director for ProStyle Volleyball Academy. Taylor Roberts follows right behind her older sister, Ashlyn, who also played for Sneads and currently plays for South Alabama.
