The Last Time Out: The East Tennessee State Lady Bucs rallied in the second half, but could not overcome a 22-point halftime deficit as they fell to the Furman Lady Paladins 95-82 Wednesday night in Brooks Gym ... The Lady Bucs were led by junior forward Megan Jackson, who tied her career-high with 19 points and also pulled down a game high nine rebounds ... It is her third-consecutive double-digit scoring effort ... Freshmen Jessica Lonon (12) and Racquel Ellis (10) also scored in double-digits for ETSU.

The Lady Bucs Against the Wildcats: The Lady Bucs are 8-7 all-time against Furman and 7-7 in the Coach Kemp era ... The last time the two teams met, Lady Buc senior guard Chris Forman tied an ETSU record with eight three-pointers as she led the Lady Bucs to an 80-69 win over the Davidson, Dec. 6 from Belk Arena in Davidson, N.C. ... East Tennessee State was led by Forman who scored a career-high 32 points on 12-21 shooting and 8-12 from long distance ... In addition to Forman's career night, ETSU got 11 points from junior guard Erin Thurman and junior forward Megan Jackson ... Freshman guard Racquel Ellis tallied a game-high eight assists and freshman Lauren Trantham pulled down a game-high eight boards.

Streaks: Junior guard Erin Thurman has knocked down at least two three-pointers in 11 consecutive games (37 in that span ... Junior forward Megan Jackson has scored in double-digits in three-straight games ... She previously had never scored in double-figures in consecutive games in her two and a half year ETSU career ... Senior guard Chris Forman is the only Lady Buc to have started every game this season ... The Lady Bucs have hit at least three three-pointers in all games this season but one ... They registered a season and SoCon high 13 treys in a 80-69 win at Davidson on Dec. 6 ... The Lady Bucs have had two players that have scored and pulled down at least one rebound in every game, junior forward Misty Copas and sophomore guard Samantha Copeland.

Lighting it Up: The Lady Bucs have posted the most prodigious scoring marks in the conference this season ... ETSU has the conference season-high for points in a game in a 101-78 win over Appalachian State on Jan. 8 ... Senior guard Chris Forman scored a SoCon season-high 32 points in a 80-69 win over Davidson on Dec. 6 ... In that same game, Forman also connected on SoCon season-high eight three pointers, and the team knocked down a conference season-high 13 treys ... Forman's eight three pointers are the second most three-pointers made in an NCAA Division I game this season.

SoCon Player of the Week: Junior guard Erin Thurman earned Southern Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 8 ... For the week, Thurman averaged 17.3 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 2.7 apg and 2.0 spg ... It is the second such award for the Lady Bucs this season as senior guard Chris Forman won the honor for the week ending Dec. 12 ... In the history of the SoCon Player of the Week award, the Lady Bucs have won the most honors, capturing 30 since the 1988-89 season.

Home Court Advantage: In the regime of ETSU head coach Karen Kemp, the Lady Bucs have a 44-21 home record including a 10-0 home season in 1994-95 and a 10-1 home record last season .. The only loss coming to SoCon regular-season champion Chattanooga ... In each of the last five seasons, the Lady Bucs' home record has improved:

Thurman Heating Up: Junior guard Erin Thurman has scored in double digits in 12 of her last 15 games, including a 27 point explosion at Appalachian State on Jan. 8 ... During that span, she has averaged 14.0 points per game and has shot 38 percent (48-125) from three-point range ... Thurman led the Lady Bucs in three-pointers last season with 38 ... To this point in the season, she has 50 and is on pace for 75 treys ... The Lady Buc record is 82 by Amy Engle in the 1994-95 season.

Double Your Pleasure: The Lady Bucs have had four double-doubles on the season ... Freshman forward Lauren Trantham recorded double-doubles in both games of the Memphis Lady Tiger Classic on Nov. 24-25 (vs. Memphis and Northwestern State) in just her second and third collegiate contests ... Freshman center Jessica Lonon recorded her first career double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds against Wofford on Dec. 30, 2000 ... Junior forward Megan Jackson notched the first double-double of her career with 19 points and 10 rebounds against Western Carolina on Jan. 16.

Trantham Set To Return: Freshman forward Lauren Trantham led the Lady Bucs in rebounding in seven of her first ten collegiate contests before being stricken with mononucleosis ... She has returned to practice and may play against Davidson on Jan. 27 ... She also led ETSU in scoring with 11 points in their game against Memphis in the first round of the Lady Tiger Classic on Nov. 24 ... She registered back-to-back double-doubles in both games of the Lady Tiger Classic.

SoCon Leaders: Junior guard Erin Thurman is ranked ninth in the Southern Conference with 12.3 points per game ... Senior guard Chris Forman follows closely behind in 15th with 11.2 per contest ... Thurman is first in three-pointers made per game (2.78) ... Forman is also seventh in three-pointers made per game (1.56 pg) and is fourth in three-point shooting percentage (.359) ... Thurman is fifth in three-point shooting percentage at 35.5 percent ... Freshman guard Racquel Ellis is 12th in the conference with 3.0 assists per game and ninth in the conference in assist-turnover ratio (0.92) ... Sophomore forward Misty Copas is currently fourth in the conference with a .559 shooting percentage ... As a team, the Lady Bucs lead the conference in three-pointers made per game with 5.59.

Double Scoring Threat: The guard tandem of senior Chris Forman and junior Erin Thurman are the second-leading scoring duo in Southern Conference games ... Thurman is the fourth highest scorer in SoCon games at 14.8 points per game ... Forman is fifth with 14.4.

Forman Lighting it Up From Behind the Arc: In the Lady Bucs' Dec. 6 win over Davidson, senior guard Chris Forman not only set a career mark with 32 points, but here eight three-pointers mark the second highest number of three pointers in an NCAA Division I game this season ... The only player that drained more threes in a game than Forman was Tennessee Tech's Rachael Gobble, who connected on nine against the Lady Bucs on Nov. 21.

Success in High Numbers: This season, the Lady Bucs are 0-5 when scoring 70-or-more points, but 3-1 when reaching the 80 point plateau ... Last winter, the Lady Bucs were 13-2 when scoring 70-or-more points; 9-0 when scoring 80-or-more points ... The Lady Bucs were 7-1 when scoring 80-or-more points and 14-3 when scoirng 70-or-more points in 1998-99.

The Head Coach: Seventh-year head coach Karen Kemp has compiled a 86-99 (.465) record at ETSU ... She is the second winningest coach in Lady Buc basketball history and trails first-place Susan Yow by 33 victories ... Kemp passed former coach Debbie Richardson for second place on the all-time list with a 90-63 win over Western Carolina on February 22, 2000.

The Lady Bucs on the Airwaves: The Lady Bucs' January 2nd game against Chattanooga was televised by Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast as a part of a women's and men's basketball doubleheader between the two Tennessee rivals ... The Lady Bucs fell to the Lady Mocs, 88-72.

Lady Bucs tabbed fifth: ETSU was picked fifth by Southern Conference coaches in the SoCon preseason coaches poll ... The Lady Bucs finished third last season in the final conference standings.

Injury Report: Senior guard Leslie Burleson is recovering from knee surgery and is out of action indefinitely ... Freshman forward Lauren Trantham has been out with mononucleosis since Dec. 20 ... She has returned to practice and may play against Davidson on Jan. 27.

Records Were Made To Be Broken: The 1994-95 Lady Bucs knocked down a school record 146 three-pointers ... To this point in the season, this year's squad has hit 98 threes and is on pace for 147 ... Junior guard Erin Thurman is on pace for 75 three-pointers on the season and if she reaches that mark, she will need 59 treys in her senior season to break the Southern Conference record for career three-point field goals (186).

If the SoCon Tournament Started Today......: The Southern Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Tournaments from Timmons Arena and the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville, S.C. are still over a month away, but it is never too early to look ahead ... If the SoCon Tournament started today, the Lady Bucs would play Davidson in the first-round of the tournament on March 1 ... The winner would play UNC Greensboro in the second round on March 2.
