Lady Bucs Fall to Bradley, 69-64 in First Round of Denver Pioneer Classic

Denver, Colo. -- Senior guard Chris Forman scored a team-high 15 points, but it was not enough to overcome Bradley, who defeated the Lady Bucs 69-64 in the first round of the University of Denver Pioneer Classic in Denver, Colo.

The Lady Bucs led the Braves 29-22 at halftime. ETSU took the lead 11-9 with 14:06 remaining in the first stanza, and held the lead until Bradley took the advantage, 45-43 with 9:05 left in the second half. The Braves never looked back, outscoring the Lady Bucs 24-19 over the last 9:05.

Forman was one of three Lady Bucs to score in double figures. Sophomore forward Misty Copas helped keep ETSU in the game by scoring 11 of her 13 points in the second half. Junior guard Erin Thurman also tallied 11 points for the Lady Bucs.

Bradley was led by senior forward Jennifer Jolley who scored 22 points, including 15 in the second half.

The Lady Bucs return to action Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. ET when they face the loser of the Denver/Texas Southern game in the consolation matchup of the Denver Pioneer Classic.
