Chris Forman Named Southern Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week Johnson City, Tenn. -- ETSU senior Chris Forman has been named the Southern Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for December 12.
A guard from Aurora, WV, Forman led the Lady Bucs to an 80-69 win over SoCon rival Davidson, the squad's first win at Davidson since the 1994-95 season. Forman scored a career-high 32 points, shooting .571 (12-21) from the floor, including 8-12 (.667) from the three-point distance. Forman led the Lady Bucs at halftime with 10 points before opening up in the second half.
In her second half performance, Forman scored 22 points on 8-10 shooting (.800) and 6-7 (.857) from three-point range. Her only missed three was three seconds into the half and she did not miss a shot after the 13:42 mark. With Davidson creeping back into the game at 65-57 with 5:47 remaining in the game, Forman nailed two huge treys to widen the advantage to 71-57. She scored 14 straight Lady Buc points in a 3:23 span late in the second half, outscoring the Wildcats by eight in that span.
Forman holds the SoCon single-game high for points (32), three-point field goals made (8) and is tied for the top slot in three-point field goal percentage at .667 (8-12). She ranks second among conference leaders in three-point field goals made (2.17 per game), third in three-point field goal percentage (.433) and is among the scoring leaders with 12.7 points per game.
