Lady Bucs Fall to Northwestern State in Consolation Game of Lady Tiger Classic

Freshman forward Lauren Trantham recorded her second consecutive double-double, but the Lady Bucs dropped a nail-biter to Northwestern State, 75-71 in the consolation game of the Lady Tiger Classic, hosted by the University of Memphis.

It was a tale of two halfs last night as ETSU (0-3) forced 14 turnovers in the first half and outscored the Demons 40-32. In the second half, Northwestern State (2-1) outscored ETSU 43-31, with NSU taking the lead with 3:22 remaining to seal the win.

Trantham scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Senior guard Chris Forman scored 12 points and added four rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. Sophomore forward Misty Copas led the team in scoring with 15 points in just 20 minutes of play. Junior forward Megan Jackson was the fourth Lady Buc to score in double-digits as she scored 10 in the contest.

The Lady Bucs return to action when they travel to North Carolina on Monday to face the Tarheels at 7:00 p.m.
