JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 17, 2007) - After winning back-to-back road games at Campbell and Gardner-Webb, the ETSU women's basketball team will look to bring its winning ways back into Memorial Center on Thursday evening when they host North Florida at 7 p.m.

ETSU and UNF met for the first time last season with the Lady Bucs sweeping the season series. The Lady Bucs defeated the Ospreys, 80-59, in Jacksonville and took game two in the series, 82-52, in Johnson City. Junior Kelly Turman (Atlanta) came off the bench and scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds in the ETSU win at Jacksonville.  Holly Moring (Irmo, S.C.), Michele DeVault (Columbus, Ohio) and Brooke Wilhoit (Sevierville) combined for 42 of the 82 points in the win inside Memorial Center on Feb. 11. Morning drained a career-high five threes in the victory. The Ospreys are one of five teams in the A-Sun that ETSU has a perfect mark against.

The Lady Bucs have won eight of their last 11 games, including five of their first six conference games. During the 11 game span four ETSU players are scoring in double figures, as freshman Siarre Evans (Griffin, Ga.) leads the way with 12.5 ppg. Also during this stretch, the Lady Bucs are out-rebounding their opponents 42.3 to 35.9, and forcing them to turn the ball over 21.5 times per contest.

UNF has lost seven of its last eight games and is searching for its first road win since Dec. 2, when they beat Lipscomb 53-44. The Ospreys are led by Tamara Hubbard who is averaging 8.7 ppg and Jennifer Guldager who averages 5.3 rebounds per game. UNF is only scoring 44.8 points per contest and allowing 60.3 points per game.
