DELAND, Fla. (Dec. 1, 2006) - After winning its first two road games earlier this week, the ETSU women's basketball team will try to make it clean sweep Saturday evening when they take on Stetson. The Lady Bucs are seeking their first three-game winning streak of the season, and will try to get to the .500 mark for the first time this year. Tip is set for 4:30 p.m. inside the Edmunds Center.
The match up marks the fourth-ever meeting between the two schools, with the Lady Bucs leading the all-time series, 2-1. ETSU swept the series last season with a 61-51 win on Jan. 26 in Edmunds Center, and an 80-59 victory on Feb. 25 inside Memorial Center. Stetson's only win came during the 1995-96 season when they defeated ETSU, 74-71, in the Krystal Holiday Classic in Cookeville, Tenn.
The Lady Bucs are coming their biggest win of the season as they defeated Mercer, 56-29, Thursday in Macon. ETSU broke the school record for the least amount of points allowed in a single game which was set in the 1973-74 season when the Lady Bucs only allowed 31 points to Carson Newman and Milligan (back-to-back games).
