MACON, Ga. (Nov. 29, 2006) - The ETSU women's basketball team will be looking to post back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they open conference play Thursday evening against Mercer. Tip is set for 5:15 p.m. inside the University Center.

After coming off its first road win of the season Monday night, Atlantic Sun action is just what ETSU needs to continue its winning ways. The Lady Bucs posted 14 wins in its inaugural season a year ago, which were the most conference victories in head coach Karen Kemp's 12-year tenure. The Lady Bucs are 19-8 (.704) against active A-Sun foes and have perfect marks against Campbell (2-0), Jacksonville (2-0), Kennesaw State (2-0), Lipscomb (2-0) and North Florida (2-0).

The Lady Bucs will be seeking revenge after suffering a 59-56-overtime loss to Mercer, in the first round of the A-Sun Tournament last year. ETSU won the last regular season meeting in the series, 62-47, on Feb. 23, 2006 in Memorial Center. The Bears lead the all-time series, 4-3, and have held the Lady Bucs winless in Macon (0-3).
