JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 5, 2008) - The ETSU women's basketball team is enjoying its hottest run of the season and sophomore star Siarre Evans (Griffin, Ga.) is one of many reasons for the recent Lady Buccaneer success. On Tuesday, Evans was recognized for her hard work as the league office named her the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week.

On Saturday, Evans notched her 14th career double-double in an 81-77 come from behind victory over the Lady Owls. Evans scored 13 of her 17 points in the second half and grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds in the critical conference victory. Then, on Monday, the versatile player scored 11 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished out two assists and forced two steals in 22 minutes against Mercer. ETSU defeated the Bears by 31, 88-57, as all 13 Lady Buccaneer players reached the scoring and rebounding column.
