In the first half, both teams played evenly through the first media timeout as the game was tied at nine with 15:50 on the clock. From there the Lady Bucs went on a 10-2 run to break the game open with a 19-11 lead at the 11:54 mark. However, the Highlanders would capitalize on 11 turnovers by the Lady Bucs to have a one-point advantage heading into the locker room.
ETSU hit 12-of-30 (40 percent) in the first half and was perfect from the charity stripe going 6-6. On the other side, Radford hit 34.4 percent from the field (11-32) and hit 81.8 perfect from the free-throw line going 9-of-11.
The score remained tight in the second half as ETSU and Radford were tied three times in the opening minutes of the period. However, Radford put together a 9-4 run to go up by seven, 49-42, with 10:45 to play. The Lady Bucs continued to battle back as they were able to tie the game for the seventh time, 61-61 with 2:10 remaining. In the end Radford went a perfect 10-10 from the charity strip to take the victory.
For the game, the Lady Bucs shot 34.8 percent from the field (23-66); while the Highlanders hit 23-59 shots (39 percent). Radford also out-rebounded the Lady Bucs 46-41.
