JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Dec. 3, 2018) – The ETSU women’s basketball team concludes a three-game home stand on Tuesday night inside Brooks Gym. The Bucs will host Liberty. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.

ETSU enters Tuesday’s game with a 1-9 overall record, with their latest win coming against Appalachian State. In the most recent NCAA Division I women’s basketball stats, the Bucs rank ninth in steals, tenth in rebounds, and 13th in free throws made. Individually Erica Haynes-Overton tears up the leadership in national stats. She is first in the nation in steals, third in steals per game, fourth in field goals made, seventh in final points, and 11th in minutes played. Haynes-Overton also leads the team with 18.0 points per game. Britney Snowden (Pensacola, Fla.) and Sadasia Tipps (Hickory, N.C.) have been active rebounders for the Bucs. Senior Raven Dean (Charlotte, N.C.) has been the most prominent three-point scorer as well.


Liberty holds a 1-6 record coming into tomorrow’s contest. This is the first of their next five games that they will play on the road. Liberty was picked second to FGCU in the ASUN conference and are coming off of a 20-win season that helped them make a WNIT postseason appearance. The Lady Flames return ASUN Freshman of the Year in Ashytn Baker, who is currently averaging 8.1 points per game. Emily Lytle leads the Lady Flames with 15.7 points per game followed by Bridgette Rettstatt with 8.7 points per game.


Tuesday marks the 13th meeting in program history. ETSU holds a 7-5 all-time win record. Liberty has won the last three contests, with the latest game being played in 2009. The Bucs fell by ten, 64-54.
