Nikki Davis joined the ETSU women's basketball coaching staff in May 2013 following one season as an assistant coach at Morehead State. Davis joined the Eagles' coaching staff after completing her collegiate playing career at Virginia Tech in 2012.

Prior to becoming a Hokie, Davis spent her freshman season at the University of Alabama where she averaged 5.1 points, while playing in all 30 games, and tied the Crimson Tide freshman record with 11 assists in a game that season.

After sitting out the 2007-08 season due to NCAA transfer rules, Davis averaged 7.5 points as a sophomore, 6.4 points as a junior and 6.4 points as a senior, while seeing action in 80 career games for the Hokies. She led Virginia Tech in assists as a junior and senior, while ranking first in steals her final season and also earned the athletic department's strength & conditioning award in 2009 and 2011.

Davis, who became the first player in Kentucky prep history to play in four consecutive state championship games, recorded 1,263 points, 802 assists and 530 steals at Lexington Catholic High School from 2003-06.  She led the Knights to a 71-2 record (.973) and back-to-back state titles in 2005 and 2006.

Lexington Catholic was ranked sixth in the final USA Today Super 25 poll Davis' junior year and third her senior campaign.  She was also a First-Team All-State selection her final prep season.

Davis has since served as a girls basketball camp counselor at Alabama, Virginia Tech, Louisville, Kentucky and Transylvania over the past seven years as well.

Davis graduated from Virginia Tech in 2011.
