MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 11, 2006) - The ETSU men's cross country team finished 10th out of 25 teams Saturday morning at the NCAA South Regional, hosted by the University of Tennessee. The 10K race was held at the Lambert Acres Golf course as Florida State took home the top team spot with 67 points. Macon, Ga. (Oct. 11, 2006) - ETSU sophomore Michael Deren (Blasdell, N.Y.) was named Atlantic Sun Runner of the Week, Wednesday by the conference office. Over the weekend, Deren helped the Bucs win their first meet of the season by defeating conference foes Kennesaw State, Campbell and Gardner-Webb, along with UNC-Asheville and Wofford. He becomes the first ETSU runner to win the award this season. ...

(Oct. 6, 2006) - The ETSU men's cross country team won the Gardner-Webb 6K Dual competition Friday evening, behind Michael Deren's (Blasdell, N.Y.) first collegiate win of his career. The Bucs finished first as a team with 40 points, followed by Kennesaw State (50), Gardner-Webb (62), Campbell (96), UNC-Asheville (119) and Wofford (140). The men finished the 8K race sixth out of 10 teams, with host William and Mary taking home the top spot, followed by Georgetown University, LaSalle University, Virginia Tech and University of Maryland rounding out the top five....

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 8, 2006) - After coming off four top-three team finishes in 2005, including a second place finish at the A-Sun Cross Country Championships, the Bucs are looking to make some noise behind solid front runners Michael Deren (Blasdell, N.Y.) and Kenneth Rotich (Sotik, Kenya).
