Prior to ETSU: Lettered five years in varsity track & field, and lettered four years in varsity cross country at Science Hill under coaches John Hyatt, Roberta Kuziola and Jennifer Brockett... state champion in the 4x800m in 2008 and '09... track team earned state championship in 2009, while her cross country team earned the state championship in 2011... named all-conference, all-region and all-state in 2007, '08 and '09... all-conference and all-region in track in 2006, '07 and '08, while being named all-state in '06 and '07... holds seven school track records... seventh in the hepatathlon at AAU National Junior Olympics in '08... Johnson City Press Track & Field Athlete of the Year in 2007.
