Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth in William and Mary Invitational

Johnson City, Tenn. -- East Tennessee State’s Catalina Zuluaga (76-77=153) and Mimmie Dymling (75-78=153) finished in a tie for seventh at 11-over par to lead the Buccaneer women’s golf team to a fourth place finish Sunday in the William and Mary Invitational from Williamsburg, Va.

ETSU played consistently in rainy conditions, shooting a second-round 319 after recording a first-round 318 on Saturday. The Buccaneers finished 15 shots behind team champions, Notre Dame.

In addition to Zuluaga and Dymling, Kristen Fletcher also finished well, shaving nine strokes off of her first round score to finish in a tie for 12th (82-73=155). Amanda Ovington was the next ETSU finisher, tying for 74th with a two round total of 179 (85-94). Susan McKinney finished the Buccaneers day, tying for 87th with a two-round 186 (95-91).

The Buccaneers return to action on April 7-8 at the James Madison Lady Duke Invitational in Harrisonburg, Va.
