Women's Golfer's Compete in John Kirk/Lady Panther Invitational
Johnson City, Tenn. -- The East Tennessee State women's golf team shot a team total of 657 in the opening rounds of the John Kirk/Lady Panther Invitational at the Chateau Elan Golf Course in Braselton, Georgia, hosted by Georgia State University.
The Bucs currently stand in eighth place, two strokes behind the University of South Alabama. Senior Mimmie Dymling and sophomore Catalina Zuluaga are tied for 13th place after shooting a two-round total 160. Also tied with Dymling and Zuluaga are Charleston Southern's Kim Adams, Southern Mississippi's Jamie Sims, and Georgia State's Sally Bishop.
In team competition, Princeton is running away from the field by firing a two-round total 613. Charleston Southern maintains second place, 21 strokes behind the leaders. Southern Mississippi is 23 strokes behind and in third place.
Ofelia Lopez of Southern Mississippi holds the individual lead by turning in a two-round 3-over-par 147. Vanessa Redman of Princeton is not far behind after shooting a six-over-par 150. Nicole Wagner of Georgia State currently sits in third after reporting an eight-over-par 152.
