ETSU Womens Golfers in Action From East Carolina Fall Intercollegiate

Johnson City, Tenn. -- Sophomore Catalina Zuluaga shot a three-over par 74 to lead the East Tennessee State women's golf team to a tie for tenth place after the first round of the East Carolina Lady Pirate Fall Intercollegiate from Greenville Country Club in Greenville, N.C.

Zuluaga finished in a tie for fifth place overall, four shots behind the individual leader Kate Allison from Winthrop. The second Buccaneer finisher was senior Mimmie Dymling, finishing nine shots off the lead (+8) in a tie for 20th. Amanda Ovington finished in a tie for 45th with a 13-over par 84. Fellow freshmen Kristen Fletcher and Lauren Rice finished the Bucs day on the links with Fletcher shooting a 18-over par 89 (T-70th) and Rice firing a 19-over par 90.

Charleston Southern leads the tournament after first round, shooting a 24-over par 322 after the first day, while host East Carolina is one shot back with after firing a 25-over par 323.

The Buccaneers return to the links for the second round of action from the Lady Pirate Fall Intercollegiate at 8:40 Tuesday morning from Greenville Country Club.
