ETSU’s players each started at the back nine, and Loy got to the turn at 1-under 35 after back-to-back birdies on the par-5 8th and the par-4 9th. She bogeyed the par-4 2nd hole, but dropped in consecutive birdies on #4, #5 and #6 to get to -3. A stumble on the par-3 7th left her at -1, but she parred the 8th and closed out the round with a birdie on the par-5 9th.
