SoCon Women’s Golf Championship Play Pushed to Tuesday

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (April 18, 2022) – The Southern Conference announced Monday morning that the wrap-up of the second round of the SoCon Women’s Golf Championship will be played Tuesday at 8:00 a.m.

The second round of play started Sunday afternoon after teams finished the first 18 holes. The conference started the second round due to inclement weather in Monday’s forecast.

Chattanooga, ETSU, Furman, Mercer, UNCG, and Wofford will all start Tuesday finishing the second round.

Furman currently leads the tournament after ending Sunday 15-over-par. Furman is followed by; Mercer at 17-over-par and Wofford at 21-over-par. 

The Bucs currently sit in fourth place, with Sera Hasegawa (Gifu, Japan) leading the squad. Hasegawa ended Sunday's play tied for fourth place. 

The Bucs will pick up play on holes nine and 12 with Mercer and Furman tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. Fans are encouraged to follow along on Golfstat.
