ETSU women’s golf to compete in Colorado this week

WOLCOTT, Colo. (Sept. 25, 2022) – The ETSU women’s golf team opens play in the Golfweek Red Sky Classic Monday morning from the Fazio Course in Wolcott, Colorado. The Bucs won the 2021 Red Sky Classic and will look to defend their crown in 2022.

ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT

  • The Golfweek Red Sky Classic will be held Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at the Red Sky Golf Club in Wolcott, Colorado.
  • Monday features Tee Times off Hole 1 and Hole 10 starting at 10:00 a.m., with teams playing 18 holes.
  • There will be a single round each day between Monday and Wednesday.
  • ETSU won the 2021 Red Sky Challenge as the Bucs Held off Denver University by one shot with a team score of six-under-par 570. The third round was canceled due to weather.
  • The Red Sky Golf Club consists of the Tom Fazio and Greg Norman courses. This tournament will be played on the Fazio Course.

THE FIELD

  • In addition to ETSU, the 20-team field also includes Central Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Eastern Michigan, Evansville, Fresno State, Idaho, Incarnate Word, Kennesaw State, Little Rock, Mercer, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Pepperdine, Rutgers, Southern Illinois, Washington State and Xavier.
  • The Bucs will be paired with Kennesaw State, Washington State, and Evansville in Monday’s first round … On Monday, ETSU has tee times starting at 10 a.m.
