Bert improves seven shots in second round

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico (Oct. 29, 2022) – The ETSU women’s golf team shot a second round 4-over-par 288 on Saturday to improve by 12 shots and move into 11th place at TCU’s Battle at the Beach in Cabo.

A trio of Bucs are currently tied for 38th place at 5-over-par 147. Sophie Bert (Deurle, Belgium) followed yesterday’s round of 77 with a 1-under-par 70. Hollie Muse (Liverpool, England) ended the day with a 2-over-par 73 and Alex Crafton (Lake Mary, Fla.) had a 3-over-par 74.

TCU leads the team competition at 9-under-par 559 (285-274). Ingrid Lindblad of LSU sits atop the individual leaderboard at 11-under-par 131 (67-64).

ETSU will tee off tomorrow with a 7:00 a.m. shotgun start and will be paired with Arkansas, North Texas, and Wisconsin.
