Bucs finish in 11th place at Battle at the Beach

CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico (Oct. 30, 2022) – ETSU women’s golfer Sophie Bert (Deurle, Belgium) shot a final round of 3-under-par 68 Sunday at The Battle at the Beach, highlighting play for ETSU women’s golf.

Bert finished tied for 21st with a 2-over-par 215 (77-70-68). She had 13 birdies and one eagle for the tournament.

As a team, ETSU improved each day and shot a final round of 1-under-par 283 to finish in 11th place at 19-over-par 871 (300-288-283). The Bucs moved up three positions from their 14th place start on the opening day.

LSU shot 10-under-par on the final day to win the tournament at 14-under-par 838 (285-279-274). Ingrid Lindblad of LSU won the tournament by seven shot with an 18-under-par 195 (67-64-64).

Hollie Muse (Liverpool, England) shot a final round 1-under-par 70 to finish the tournament T29 at 217 (74-73-70)

The Battle at the Beach concluded the fall season for the Bucs. They will return to action on Feb. 17th for the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational.
