TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 19, 2023) – The ETSU women’s golf team wrapped up play at the Florida State Match Up on Sunday at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club.
The Bucs were +34 on Sunday and finished in 10th place (+79), while No. 12 Florida State won the tournament with a team score of even-par 864. The Seminoles won by 25 shots as Augusta finished runner-up (+25) and No. 27 Kentucky was third (+28).
Hollie Muse (Liverpool, England) led the Blue and Gold in Tallahassee as she finished tied for 42nd (+19), while Sophie Bert (Beurle, Belgium) and Amber Thornton (Canberra, Australia) were right behind. Bert placed 44th (+20) and Thornton tied for 45th (+22).
Florida State’s Lottie Woad earned medalist honors as she finished at 4-under-par 212. Woad won by two shots over Tulane’s Carla Bernat and by three shots over teammate Charlotte Heath and Kentucky’s Jensen Castle.
ETSU will now have a two-week break before returning to competition as the Bucs play in the Chattanooga Classic, beginning Sunday, April 2.
