Georgia Southern's Andrea Pfeiffer got the Eagles (13-3, 5-2) on the scoreboard just 2:56 into the game when she beat Buccaneer goalkeeper Heather Sanden to give GS a 1-0 advantage.

Sophomore Amanda Bernard then tallied the next two goals, the first on a rebound off the post at the 26:34 mark and the second on an assist from freshman Genevieve Ward just 6:13 into the second half.

Freshman Mary-Kate Talbott capped the Eagle scoring when her free kick from nearly 30 yards out got past Sanden for a 4-0 GS lead at the 59:18 mark. ETSU's Lisa Gallagher helped the Bucs (6-9, 0-7) avoid the shutout when she tallied with just 8:18 remaining in the game.

Freshman keeper Tanya Woehr and Bales, who earned the start but suffered a knee injury in the second half, shared the shutout for the Eagles.
