JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (February 12, 2007) - East Tennessee State University women's soccer head coach Heather Henson has announced the Buccaneer soccer schedule for the 2007 spring season.

The spring schedule will consist of five playing dates in which they will compete against some teams such as Kentucky, Virginia Tech, Radford and Western Carolina.

Game environments will vary during the spring schedule, as coach Henson explained, "We like to play a combination of small sided games as well as 11 vs. 11 games through out the five playing dates in the spring.  We feel that it give us different situations to play in.  We will have the opportunity to focus on different ideas and tasks in the games against our opponents with varying styles and formats.  Ultimately our spring training and competitions are preparing us for our upcoming fall 2007 season."

The Bucs first playing date will be a nine-on-nine tournament at the University of Kentucky in Lexington on February 18. The Kentucky tourney is in a 9 vs.9 format where each team will play three 40 minute games and then a championship game to end the day.  ETSU will compete against UK, Morehead State, and Marshall.
