JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 10, 2014) - If East Tennessee State women’s soccer coach Adam Sayers could have scripted the start to his team’s season, he might not even have come up with something this good.
The high-scoring Bucs have opened the season with six consecutive victories, almost equaling last year’s total of seven. They could have had a seventh last weekend, but a 2-0 lead against Francis Marion was wiped out when the game was forced to be abandoned because of a severe thunderstorm.
Still, 6-0 after six games is a pretty spectacular beginning...
