MACON, Ga. (Oct 9, 2014) - ETSU will look to extend its winning streak to four matches as the Bucs continue Southern Conference play, visiting Mercer Friday, Oct. 10 and The Citadel Sunday, Oct. 12. The Bucs enter the weekend sporting the nation's second-ranked scoring offense.
The pair of away matches will conclude a four-match road swing for ETSU.
GETTING UP TO SPEED
Following a loss to Furman in the team's SoCon opener, the Buccaneers (11-3, 3-1) have rattled off three consecutive leage wins, vaulting to the top of the conference standings.
Last weekend, the Bucs picked up a pair of road victories, outscoring Samford and Chattanooga by a combined 8-2 margin.
In the two wins, reigning Atlantic Sun Player of the Year Sarah Zadrazil (St. Gilgen, Austria) scored three goals and dished out three assists.
HIGH-SCORING BUCS
ETSU's scoring offense ranks second in the nation, averaging 3.64 goals, behind only South Alabama (3.85).
The Bucs are paced by the nation's leading goal scorer, Hannah Short (Bristol, England), and leading assister, Zadrazil.
Short's 17 goals is the top mark in the nation. The Bristol, England, native also leads the nation in points (40), goals per game (1.21), and points per game (2.86).
Meanwhile, Zadrazil leads the nation with 12 assists. She also leads the nation in assists per game (1.08).
With last weekend's three-assist performance, Zadrazil moved past teammate Jasmin Dutton (Kinmel Bay, Wales) as the nation's leading assister. Zadrazil and Dutton are two of only three players in the country to have recorded 12 or more assists.
ETSU has scored at least three goals in all but four matches this season. The Bucs lead the nation in points per game, averaging 11 points per contest.
Impressively, 16 of the Bucs' 19 field players have found the scoring column on the year, including sophomores Simona Koren (Graz, Austria) and Molly Collinson (Cramlington, England) and senior Kristi Davis (Edmond, Okla.), who have each recorded 10 points or more.
Koren is the Bucs' third leading scorer this season (10G, 4A).
WEEKEND PREVIEW
Mercer Bears - Macon, Ga.

The Bears (7-4-2, 2-0-2) will enter the weekend riding a five-match unbeaten streak.
Led by senior midfielder Lauren Gassie (6G, 3A), Mercer's scoring offense ranks second in the SoCon behind ETSU, with the Bears averaging two goals per game.

Junior goalkeeper Maggie Cropp has compiled a 7-3-2 record on the year. Nationally, Mercer ranks 32nd for save percentage (0.848) and 41st for goals against average (0.744).
The Citadel Bulldogs - Charleston, S.C.

The Bulldogs (5-9, 1-3) will enter the weekend having lost four of their last five matches. However, The Citadel snapped a three-match losing streak with a 2-1 road win against Furman Friday, Oct. 3.
Sophomore goalkeeper Naomi Carter ranks second in the nation with 100 saves.
The Citadel ranks 16th in the country for saves per game (7.14).
