JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (June 18, 2015) – The ETSU women’s soccer team and head coach Adam Sayers announced Thursday the signing of their seventh signee Eleonora Goldoni (Cento, Italy) to the 2015-16 recruiting class.
Goldoni has an impressive resume and brings a multitude of international experience to ETSU. With the U-17 Italian National Team she appeared in 10 games, scoring two goals. While playing with the U-19 Italian squad she scored five goals in 15 games.
“We are very excited about Eleonora’s arrival. She has vast experience with the Italian National youth teams and has done very with NewTeam Ferrara,” said Sayers. “Her flexibility to play multiple forward positions will provide us with increased options, variability and depth in those areas. She is technically excellent and her pace makes her very dangerous. She will complement our team very well."
Currently Goldoni plays for New Team Ferrara in Italy’s Serie B. The season before she helped lead her team to the Serie C Championship.During her career she has won two Futsal Championships.

She is the daughter of Mario and Stefania Goldoni and plans to major in languages at ETSU.
