SPARTANBURG, S.C. (June 25, 2020) – It was another record-setting day for ETSU Athletics, this time thanks to the Southern Conference Honor Roll. The Bucs placed 262 student-athletes on the 2019-20 SoCon Honor Roll, blowing by the program’s previous record of 229 set in 2017-18. The SoCon office released the Honor Roll on Thursday morning.

(March 17, 2020) -- By unanimous votes of the league’s Council of Presidents and directors of athletics, the Southern Conference is canceling all athletics-related activities for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year, including competition, championships, organized practices and meetings, due to the ongoing threat of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, Commissioner Jim Schaus announced Tuesday.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 16, 2020) -- East Tennessee State University Director of Athletics Scott Carter announced on Thursday that Jay Yelton has been named the new head coach of the ETSU women’s soccer program.

GREENSBORO, N.C. (Oct. 27, 2019) – In the final game of the season, ETSU women’s soccer were overmatched by a UNC Greensboro side in a 2-0 defeat at UNCG Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon.
LEXINGTON, Va. (Oct. 25, 2019) – Despite 34 shots attempted by the two sides throughout 110 minutes of action, the ETSU women’s soccer team played to a 0-0 draw with VMI in a double-overtime affair at Patchin Field on Friday afternoon.
LEXINGTON, Va. (Oct. 24, 2019) – After securing a dominant win their last time out, the ETSU women’s soccer team looks to ride their momentum into the final games of the season as they take on VMI and UNC-Greensboro in SoCon action this weekend. The Bucs travel to take on the Keydets on Friday afternoon before meeting the Spartans in a 2 p.m. kickoff.

(Oct. 20, 2019) – The ETSU women’s soccer team honored their seniors on Sunday afternoon, scoring three goals in their victory in Summers-Taylor Stadium over The Citadel in Southern Conference play in the final home match of the 2019 regular season. The Bucs moved to 5-9-3 on the season, tallying their first win in SoCon play to move to 1-5-1.
JOHNSON CITY (Oct. 18, 2019) – The ETSU Buccaneers women’s soccer team dropped a tough result on Friday night, falling to the Mercer Bears in double overtime by the final score of 2-1 in front of the Blue & Gold faithful. The Bucs controlled much of the game, but a couple of Mercer bounces saw ETSU fall to 4-9-3 on the season and 0-5-1 in Southern Conference play.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 17, 2019) – The ETSU women’s soccer team look to eradicate their early struggles in the conference, getting their chances at the Mercer Bears and The Citadel Bulldogs this weekend at Summers-Taylor Stadium. The Bucs start the weekend with a chance to knock off the Bears, who come into the match with a 12-2-0 record, in a 7 p.m. showdown on Friday. ETSU ends by hosting the Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon in a 2 p.m. contest.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Oct. 13, 2019) – After controlling most of the game, the ETSU women’s soccer team allowed a late game-winner from Wofford to fall in a 1-0 Southern Conference showdown Sunday afternoon at Snyder Field. The Bucs fall to 4-8-3 on the season, a 2-5-2 record in SoCon play.
GREENVILLE, S.C. (Oct. 11, 2019) – ETSU women’s soccer took a hit to their conference campaign on Friday evening to the hands of Furman, the Paladins grabbing a 2-0 win on home soil at Stone Soccer Stadium.
DOHA, Qatar (Oct. 11, 2019) – In the upcoming World Beach Games being held in Qatar, ETSU will be represented in beach soccer by former Buc and current professional Hannah Short. Short applied her trade for the Bucs from 2012-14 and will represent Team Great Britain in the event through October 12th to October 17th.

(Oct. 10, 2019) – The ETSU women’s soccer team look to climb the SoCon ladder over the weekend as the team visits the Furman Paladins and the Wofford Terriers in conference action. The Bucs begin their conquest at Furman on Friday in a 7 p.m. affair before battling with the Terriers on Sunday, with kickoff scheduled to be at 2 p.m.

ROCK HILL, S.C. (Sept. 15, 2019) – In the second match in a three day span, the Bucs fell to hosts Winthrop in a 1-0 late Sunday evening matchup at Eagle Field. The loss drops ETSU to 2-4-2 on the year while the Eagles move to 2-3.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (September 13, 2019) – In a tale of two halves, the damage in the first half was too much to overcome as the Bucs (2-3-2) fell to Radford (6-1) in a 2-0 affair on Friday evening at Summers-Taylor Stadium.

DOVER, Del. (Sept. 8, 2019) – The Bucs got back to winning ways on Sunday afternoon, controlling their way to a dominant 5-2 victory on the road at Delaware State behind five different scorers.
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (Sept. 6, 2019) – The ETSU women’s soccer team held strong, but were unable to see past host Navy as the Midshipmen outlasted the Bucs in a 2-1 win in Annapolis on Friday evening.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (September 5, 2019) – ETSU women’s soccer take their second consecutive weekend road trip as they head to Annapolis, Md. to take on Navy on Friday evening before concluding their trip at Delaware State on Sunday afternoon.
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Sept. 3, 2019) – ETSU sophomore goalkeeper Tess Mrozek (Johnson City, Tenn.) has been named Southern Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the SoCon office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Tess Mrozek (Johnson City, Tenn.) made 12 saves to help secure a result from Gardner-Webb with a 1-1 draw after 110 minutes. The tie moved the Bucs to 1-1-2 on the year while GWU holds a 0-3-1 mark.

ETSU grabbed fourth in the coaches’ poll and was headlined by junior forward Sarah Connolly earning a spot on the preseason all-conference team after an impressive sophomore campaign.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 6, 2019) -- bioPURE Services announced on Tuesday that East Tennessee State University Athletics recently became a bioPURE Certified TMathletic facility. This certification means that ETSU athletes will experience a higher level of clean and disinfection in high-use locations like the weight room and the various locker rooms throughout the athletic complex.
