Hurricane Ian hitting the southern region causes this weekend’s SoCon games to be rescheduled  

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 28, 2022) – With Hurricane Ian looming in the area, the weekend slate of SoCon matches for the women’s soccer team have been rescheduled. ETSU will face Mercer in Macon, Ga. on Thursday night at 6 p.m. The Bucs game against The Citadel has been moved to Monday at 4 p.m.

The contest against Mercer was originally scheduled for Friday night at 7 p.m. and the matchup in Charleston, S.C. against The Citadel was supposed to take place Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.

ABOUT ETSU

  • The Bucs enter the matchup 2-5-2 and 0-2 in the SoCon.
  • Both wins have come on the road for ETSU and have a combined score of 4-1 in those two wins.
  • Defenders Taylor Limprevil (Spring Hill, Tenn.) and Madi Hook (Fareham, England) are the only two Bucs to start all nine matches, each logging 679 minutes.

ABOUT MERCER

  • Mercer enters the matchup 5-3-3 overall and 0-1-1 in the SoCon.
  • Kendall Cook leads Mercer with six goals and five assists on the season.
  • The Bucs are 5-12-3 all-time against Mercer, the last win against Mercer was in 2018 where the Bucs came out on top 1-0, in the SoCon tournament.
