Bucs travel to Samford Friday night, Chattanooga Sunday afternoon

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 13, 2022) – This weekend the ETSU women’s soccer team will play two road games in the SoCon. First, the Bucs will travel to Birmingham, Ala. to take on Samford on Friday night at 7 p.m. On Sunday, ETSU will face off against Chattanooga at 1 p.m. in Chattanooga, Tenn.

ABOUT ETSU

• The Bucs enter the weekend with a 3-2-1 conference record and a 5-5-3 overall record.
• Junior forward Emma Arnold (Bristol, Tenn.) leads the Bucs with four goals and nine points on the season.
• ETSU enters the weekend on a three-game win streak, winning three consecutive games in the SoCon for the first time since 2018.
• The Bucs have allowed one goal in the last four games, posting three shutouts in the four-game span.
• Currently, ETSU sits at the second spot in the SoCon standings with 10 points, behind Chattanooga who owns 13 points heading into the weekend.

• The Mocs own a +0 goal margin, both scoring and allowing 13 goals.
• Clarissa Salinas leads Chattanooga in goals scored with three and in points with eight.
• The Bucs are 5-9-3 all-time against Chattanooga, dropping their previous matchup 1-0 last October at Summers-Taylor Stadium.
