Johnson City, Tenn.-- The Chattanooga women's tennis team in defeated East Tennessee State 7-0 in women's tennis action Saturday morning.
It was the third straight win for UTC and the third 7-0 win in the last four wins.
In the final home match of the season, Katie Hangstefer went out in fine fashion with the clinching victory. She outlasted Cara Prupas 6-2,4-6,6-1 at No. 4 singles. Fellow senior Daniela Greco cruised past Paty Vega 6-2,6-3 at No. 1.
Cynthia Oulevay beat Mami Inoue 7-6,7-6 at No. 2, and Catherine Allen defeated Jessica Irey 4-6,6-4,7-5 at No 3. Jaclyn Wooten defeated Tatiana Arriaran 3-6,7-5,6-4 at No. 5 and Saskia van Velze completed the singles sweep at No. 6 with a 6-2,6-0 win over Susan Torbett.
The Lady Mocs, 12-10 overall and 6-3 in the conference, also swept the doubles competition to win the doubles point. ETSU falls to 6-8 and 3-3.
