Thursday, November 6, 2008

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (November 6, 2008) - With junior Yevgeniya Stupak (Kyiv, Ukraine) and freshman Paula Jamie (Madrid, Spain) winning brackets at the Hokie Invitational last weekend, the ETSU women's tennis team look to build on its success and close out the fall season on a winning note, at the Duke/UNC Kitty Harrison Invitational, in Chapel Hill, N.C.

The tournament is held in honor of Kitty Harrison, a former head coach of the women's tennis team from 1977 to 1998. During her career, she led the Tar Heels to four ACC Championships (Courtesy of North Carolina Sports Information Department). The three-day event will take place on campus of North Carolina, with opening-round singles action beginning Friday morning.
